You can prevent the spread of HIV!

An American living in Berlin, Dr. Gero Huetter said few days ago that he had cured an American who suffered from AIDS using a bone marrow transplant.

Since the tests are taking a final verdict and the patient’s health status has not yet been released, I’d say it could also prevent Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) instead of curing it. There are lots of ways we can prevent this deadly virus.

HIV is a virus that causes a disease in which the immune system begins to fail.

Methods to prevent the spread of HIV:

1. Abstinence is the only sure way to prevent HIV. It’s best to avoid sex until marriage. But this is easier said than done, so there are other reasonable ways we can prevent the spread of HIV.

2. It is essential to know about safe sex practices and have to get yourself regularly tested for HIV.

3. The easiest method to extend the transmission is by the use of condoms.

4. Sticking to one sexual partner.

5. It is important to talk with your partner about his / past sexual history and share your own.

6. Avoid alcohol and drugs, because they can alter the trial and that often leads to having sex without a condom, because intoxicated.

7. Use a water based lubricant to help prevent tearing of the skin if there is a lack of lubrication during sex. Tears in the vagina leading to the entrance of the virus in the blood.

8. Avoid douching as it can lead to a change in the normal vaginal flora.

9. Do not share intravenous needles, syringes with others.

In 2007, about 32 million people are believed to be living with HIV, which killed an estimated 2.1 million people this year.

The number has been under control and at least not growing due to safer sex practices.

It is our responsibility to stop the spread of this deadly virus.
